Designed by Pioneer’s Chief Speaker Engineer, Andrew Jones, these floorstanding loudspeakers are great on their own or as part of a multi-channel home theater system. They feature a sophisticated eight-element crossover to route high frequencies to the tweeter and lower frequencies to the woofers. Each speaker has three front-facing woofers with a structured surface for excellent rigidity and bass accuracy, along with a vented pole piece for an improved bass response over the same size woofers in previous models. Meanwhile, the 1-inch soft-dome tweeter boasts a custom waveguide that allows it to operate more efficiently, producing more volume using less power. Compared to the previous models, the speaker height has been increased by 3 inches to bring the sound closer to ear level and provide improved sound quality throughout the volume range.
