MIKSThe SZ is targetted towards clubs or professional gigs. Its not gonna get marked down anytime soon. Professional equipment rarely is. That's just how businesses work.

shahzeb.atiqWell I'm hoping I can turn DJ'n into a full time job but for right now I'm just a hobbyist, I own all my PA gear and lights, but right now I do it all from the computer all software no controllers, even my dmx lighting is controlled via a usb-dmx converter. I used to do live sound for small band in the area including my own, lol, then DJ after the bands were done until like 2 when the bars would close, or if it was a house party like 2-3 when the cops showed up, you know what I mean. So now I have recording interfaces, lots of mics, mixers, amps, speakers, ect. but I would like to start using a controller I mean you can do a lot on the computer but I really would like to put my hands on stuff for better live mixes. Any who just saying where I'm coming from.

Finally! I began this over 1.5 years ago, 568 days to be exact, had given up all thought this would ever launch. Proud to see it did with over 375 votes in the original poll.
Just a heads-up, for those of you who may find it interesting, trawling the internet yielded the following information. The major difference between the SX2 and SZ is the 1. The SZ has a Dual USB input and two more line-in which may be useful in a club or semi-professional environment. 2. The SZ boasts bigger dimensions by a substantial margin, better grade build quality and higher quality mixer. It comes at the tradeoff of almost twice the weight though. Bottom-line, the SX2 is the perfect personal DJ controller. If you'll have multiple people using your controller during a gig though, you may want to pool in your resources and go for the SZ instead.

MIKSIt is but only for a completely different segment. :)
You as a hobbyist would have absolutely no advantage in getting a SZ. Plus it costs 2.5 times as much so there's that.

MIKSYea it's a fantastic deal if you can aVoid tax. I don't buy my controllers new anymore though since they depreciate so much immediately after buying.

I've owned the SX1 for over a year now. It's a Fantastic DJ controller, comparable to CDJs and for a fraction of the price. If you're interested in investing in a new DJ interface, this is the one to buy. (10 years of DJ experience)

aaah, I just picked one up from a store for $1050. This drop would've been pretty sweet to go in on, but at least I'll have mine waay sooner.
