You probably just turned audio off. First I’d try to hit “audio on” if you can get to the adjust layer. But if like you said you can’t get to the adjust layer you may need to flash the default hex back onto your keyboard. If you need more help, the best place to go is https://www.reddit.com/r/olkb.

Hey, I know somewhere on the firmware site (https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware) Jack Humbert has a hex of the default layout, but I couldn't find it, so here's a build of it that I made: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8H7nI4giWloNzB0WkUwa3ZoYU0/view?usp=sharing . Then you can use the instructions starting from stage 2 from here: https://thevankeyboards.com/pages/programming-guide to load it.

If you don't want to do a whole lot of changes you can make a hex using https://kbfirmware.com/. I've never used it and it looks like it would get rid of the adjust layer under the default setup, but I think it's user friendly. If you do want to do a whole lot more then I would suggest going to https://docs.qmk.fm/getting_started_build_tools.html and do the sections " Windows with msys2 (recommended)" and "Git". The repository you'll be downloading from git is https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware. You'll be editing the keymap.c of whichever layout is closest to what you want, I'd suggest starting with https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/blob/master/keyboards/planck/keymaps/default/keymap.c. I use notepad++ as my editor, but there are other options out there.

gd day sir, i did use the kbfirmware builder but the default template is only for mit layout, which made one of my space keys non-functional and layer 3 disappear. actually i wanted to add some mouse keys as well as a couple macros for work. guess i will take some time to look in to msys2 and whatever git and build tool are. that keymap.c seems like a good template to start with. at least i can see all the keys there. but from notepad .c file to .hex file will need more reading. i'm really grateful for what you did : ))))
