Thanks! Appreciate the help on the Music Nib. I do have some excellent italics custom custom ground by Richard Binder and can vouch that they are not only sharp italic, but also very smooth.
I also see a 'soft fine'. What exactly is a soft fine? Does it mean that the nib is very flexible? or something else?
Thanks again!
MassDropFan"Soft fine" usually means, at least for japanese brands (Pilot, Platinum etc.) that the nib will write as fine as a standard "Fine" nib with low pressure on it, but it will allow a certain line variation pressing a little harder. It's my favourite choice of nib for japanese pens: it is just softer enough than a Fine to see consistent line variation, but it's far from the flexibility of a Pilot Falcon Nib. So, if you like having some little line variation, it's a fantastic nib, but don't think it flexes like a "real" flexible nib.
