I think @Theroc hit the true nail on the head. Pickings have been slim with regard to fine writing instruments and MD culled their remainders to cobble together a drop since we fountain pen folk are still energized pocket book-wise as Fountain Pen Day was just a week and a few days ago. And as I noted that day, there was no special sale items that day (though I did appreciate that great write-in on the community pages to show what we are all writing with).
This drop and the email I received were sent when many in my time zone are still asleep on a Sunday morning. It seems like EIGHT pens leftover from an earlier drop belong in the periodic BAZAAR sales which are announced ahead of time so we ALL have a chance to at least consider the offering before theyre sold out.
