You can't touch your phone while it's charging because it gets disconnected easily. Not that much of an issue for me since I charge the phone overnight. But not working after few months is unacceptable.

I've had two of these cables, one Micro-USB from here, and a Type C from Amazon. They're nice cables, with strong magnets and all the capability you could expect (both data and charging). Unfortunately, the one I bought here didn't even last a full year. The cable itself stopped working. Awesome functionality, but not so awesome durability. Despite my bad experience, I'd definitely recommend these cables. My second one hasn't had any problems and I can use it with both the Type C and Micro-USB tips I have. They're wonderfully convenient.

Works great, Cord is long enough to reach from my car charger port to my windshield mount. easy to install and remove, plan to get more plug ends and a second cord.

Work Great. Little or no issues.
Pros: Connection disconnects rather than damaging the phone or the cable. Allows connecting multiple device types with the same cable. LED lets me know it is plugged in.
Cons: Magnets are not very strong, so it is a better solution for a phone that is sitting on a table or stand.
Happy with my purchase and I would purchase again.

Editing review to say that two weeks later after posting this review, the USB-C Plugie is dead. The cable works fine, as does the phone with a standard charger. I'm off to see if these are covered under a warranty of some sort.
Original review:
Really awesome idea. When it works, it's just fantastic. They have issues though.
I bought five of these for my devices (I bought from this initial Massdrop, then went back for more directly from the manufacturer after testing it). I have cables around the house and cars for access to charge up my stuff (cell phones and Bluetooth earpieces). It's really nice. Love it.
Some issues are that the magnets are pretty weak. They can disconnect with the slightest of movement due to the tangle-free cable being a little bit stiff.
Outside that, there is an LED on the cable that comes on when charging, and it's incredibly bright. Like... no way you are going to sleep at night. You can't just rotate it over so the LED is pointing down because someone at R&D decided to put an LED on THAT side too. Someone who obviously doesn't sleep next to their phone. My wife covered up her LED lights with electrical tape. Smart girl.
Another negative with these cables is that they randomly go into a state where they will start charging my phone, then stop, then start again, then stop, and so on. The tip of the charger gets hotter and hotter to the point where it will blister your finger if you were to hold on too long. It's very random when this happens, and I tend to notice when it starts if because my phone makes a connect/disconnect noise. Since it happens on both my Android phone and my Windows phone, and has happened using different cables, it appears to be an issue with the design. It happens rarely enough to not be a major problem though. Well, not until it burns out a phone or something.
I think the positives outweigh the negatives, and so long as you are going to be charging in a location that won't be moving, these will work fine for you.

My honest opinion on them. It's a cool concept, but I'm sorry these suck. When I was using my phone while plugged in, I would look battery. The magnetic connection was not strong enough.

Awful. Might have caused my Pixel 2 XL to lose USB/ADB/fastboot ability, which started a chain reaction of events which led to a bricked phone. Even had that not happened, the magnets were way too weak to be able to successfully remove the USB-C plug from the phone, which causes issues in people with huge, sausage-link fingers.
Booooooooooooooooo, Plugies.

The magnet just simply isn't strong enough. I was expecting an Apple MagSafe like action, where it has some grab, but just the slightest sheer force detaches these. Otherwise, the cord is very well built, with a nice durable braid, and the andodized aluminum on the plugs doesn't scratch off.

Love 'em; however, there needs to be another drop with packs of only the tips, so that multiple devices could use the same cord. As it is, only one device benefits from the convenience of instantly plugging in.
