One of the simplest, most convenient features of many laptops is the magnetic snap-and-charge plug. Patterned after that same technology, these fuss-free magnetic cables allow you to connect your USB-C devices quickly, with one hand, no matter how dark or hard to see it is Read More
Using it to charge my 2017 15" MacBook Pro and it actually works (purchased a few cables off Amazon that didn't). I haven't used it enough to comment on its durability. I can't remember if it was available in different lengths when I purchased but that would be a great option for future drops.

Love it TBH. Not sure why so many bad experiences. I have mine on my work desk and I literally just have to set my computer down and the magnet automagically snaps onto the USB dongle hands free. It's pretty great.
Also, cloth cord sheathing so it won't just randomly disintegrate. 👌
I only use this with my MacBook Pro and it works very well. The cable is longer than the standard charger which lets me sit farther away from outlets and the magnetic end has saved me a few times when my 9 year tears through the room. Would give 5 stars if the magnet was as strong as a MagSafe, this is one is pretty weak, slight jiggles makes it come loose. I'd buy it again despite this.
I love it. Brings back the mag safe connection lost in Apple's move to USB-C. The cable itself is pretty nice. Woven jacket and flexible. The magnetic connection could have been a bit stronger since sometimes it gets skewed if you move your laptop a lot but otherwise, it's great!
Great concept, poor execution. If the tip did not detach, it might get three stars. I would not recommend this product. If there is a way to get a refund, sign me up. It's so bad, I actually wrote this review. My first on Massdrop in five years.
Do not buy this product! It does not work with either MacBook Pro or Nintendo Switch. When I contacted Drop to get a refund, they stated that just because it didn't work with my "specific device" doesn't mean it's defective. This is false advertising! The drop specifically states that it should work with USB-C devices but it does not! I'm not sure if my particular cable is defective or if this cable does not work with these devices, but either way this is some shady business.
Cable did not meet my needs because I did not read the fine print; apparently it is only suitable for charging and does not support full USB-C/Thunderbolt capabilities.
