They will only charge is you hold em a little to the left in the port.
I've tried them on my laptop, my original wall charger and my car charger. the only port they fit snug enough in to work without fussing around with them is my Anker USB hub.
Anyway, since others were asking, here is a picture of the opening of the USB port. and the next two pics, the 1st one is in the "does not work" position, the 2nd one is in the "works ok" position.
