What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

I'm mighty tempted by this keyboard, but would kick myself if it came up again in 45g or 55g, for example. If it's only ever been available here in 35g, I may take a chance to see if I like it.
This is coming from a Novatouch, at 45g, which I think feels a bit too light. And a Topre Realforce 87U in 55g, which I thought was slightly too heavy.
I think the RC 930 87U's version of 55g feels just about right, but it has a slightly gritty feel which I'm not terribly fond of.
Now, I do like Cherry Browns a lot, and someone here mentioned this 35g feels like a slightly heavier Cherry Brown.
I suppose if this has a good tactile bump, 35g may be OK, but I don't know.
Tempted, but if there's a history of this coming in higher weights, I might see if those come up again.
