TheRequiemYou can't be that naive...Right?? Leave the sound a side right now, do you actually believe that those 40 bucks Chinese cables are made out of genuine OCC silver wire, or even remotely close to the quality of this wire? You need to get your facts right asap.. Buy one of those 40 bucks cables, and go to a jewelry store that buys metals, and have them check out the wire material , and also look under a microscope to see the wire structure.. I promise you, it won't no silver nor OCC.

LIBY555I can tell you right now that the linsoul cables on massdrop right are the real deal and just as good for a fraction of the price. I have gone through thousands of cables in my 25 years of headphone history. The chinese used to suck, but in the past 5 years or so, they're quality has started to match USA made products. Look at Yinhoo cables on Aliexpress, get a 16 or 8 core silver plated design, let me know if you hear the difference. I'll bet you $1000 you wont.

Facts are you said "the same 8 core cables", and it's not true, there's no occ silver cable for 40 bucks, what you're buying on AE is a lie; a product that's not what it claims to be, and what's offered here is as described. It's like getting a real Mercedes, and a Mercedes with a Toyota engine under the hood.. You're being lied to, You can claim that the one with the Toyota engine drives just as good, but it's beside the point, you were expecting a real Mercedes. If you know it's a fake product and like the sound and feel of cheap cables by all means... Enjoy..

LIBY555I completely disagree with you. You seam to lack knowledge and understanding. I own over $100,000 of audio equipment. I have had thousands of cables, some costing $600 and Chinese ones costing $40. I’ve had and seen fake cables, but the linsoul and yinhoo cables are the real deal. They’ve been reviewed by major reviewers in the USA and measured. There a major discussions about the relevance of buying high end USA cables because you can’t tell a difference anymore. But hey, I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’ll just go back to Campire Solaris with my upgraded Chinese made litz cable on my Sony TA-ZH1ES and continue to be in awe.

TheRequiemOr perhaps you lacking in knowledge.. There's maybe a couple of certified occ manufacturers. Send them an email about wanting to buy a similar wire like this one, and see the price per meter.. Let me give you a hint - it would cost about the same price as your all Chinese cable, and for a single core... you'll need 4 to make an headphonecable. Let me give you another hint - there are real occ silver cables on AE, check their prices out and see they cost pretty similarly to this one. Again, take your best Chinese cable you have that cosed you 40 bucks, and test the things I mentioned, The results will be conclusive.

There was just a review on headfonics about the new yinhoo iem and they talk about the cable. I know what I’m talking about and to be quite honest, you’re wasting my time.

TheRequiemNo, far from it.. I'm willing to loose the argument and even loose money if you'll do those two tests I mentioned, that will prove to you what's already obvious to.... Well everyone. It's amazing how naive people can get, thinking they're getting top notch occ silver for 40 bucks from china.. Man you're unbelievable. I'm not a racist of course, I just know that facts which are that China is the land of fakes stuff, and since you're not able to easily distinguish the actual material used in a cable, they allow themselves claim all sorts of bullshit. There are millions of occ wire on AE for 20 as well, are these also real? Wake up man.

LIBY555There's no point convincing someone who can't hear a difference between different cables. For them, it's saving money and I have no problem with that. For anyone who's "attempted" to build a decent headphone/IEM cable, go checkout what kind of raw materials/wires you can get for $40? Let alone selling one for $40. To a lot of people, headphone cables are just "cheap" metal wires and they have no idea these raw wires have "costs" too. Again, for people who can't hear the difference, more power to you, save your money and spend it on something else.

ayang02The chinese cables will be like 8 braids but each braid is very very thin to save costs .... and im pretty sure they arent properly tuned or anything .... paying a premium price for all these brands not just for materials but also the effort in proper tuning.

Ringing in PC38X's

I recently got this headset, and wow is it good. My only issue is when certain people talk on discord, I can hear a really high pitched ringing. I fiddled with a bunch of settings, computer audio and discord, and nothing seems to solve the issue. It is primarily if not all in my right ear only. Is there something wrong with my headset, or was that ringing always there I can just hear it cause the headset is THAT good? I haven't had any issues with any other application, though I have yet to test if I can hear the ringing on a different version of discord, say on my xbox instead of my pc. Only other issue I've had is occasional static, but I can't tell if it's from the headset or the show/game/etc.

Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?

Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Recommendation for my next headphone set? I have Koss 95x

Hey all, What would you recommend I get next and why? I have Koss ESP-95x electrostatic massdrop headphones. These are my first and only audiophile set. I love them. I think my only real requirements is $500 or less for the headphones and that they have a little more low end. I don’t need thump but these are really light on lows…but the experience is still awesome. Also any recommendations on an amp? I only have my electrostatic thingy. I am using the Topping D50 DAC. thx!!

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones.
