so not shielded? Or is each individual wire shielded?
If the conductors are shielded individually are all the shields tied to the ground pin on both ends? Or is it just for show.
I am not dead set against esoteric cables, if they actually provide a benefit. However, at least half of all esoteric, premium cables I have ever tried actually are worse than a standard cable. Monster cables and their microphonic dialectric comes to mind here. As do a certain manufacturer whose name escapes me that made all their cables with telescoped shields. Meaning one end is disconnected. Works great when it works. Allows EFI through and 60hz hum when it doesnt.
CalaverasgrandeIn theory twisted pair wouldnt need the positive and negative to be shielded by ground so long as the signal is balanced but unbalanced like RCA or 6.3mm does need shielding. Headphone and speaker cables arent always shielded presumably because the amount of noise would be inconsequential compared to the already amplified signal.
