I live just meters away from a major freeway at an industrial area (91748), the daily dust and dirt cleanup from the hardwood floor often reflective under the light. I suppose the exhaust gas would have metal specs. in them. If I have an actual scientific figures on the air quality and link it to my caughing problem, maybe I could convince myself to move. If this device could do it, it might add a few years to my life.
This looks like a knockoff of another unit available on taobao. There's no wifi, BT or any output. The only Sainsmart unit worth buying is the pm-p8 since it contains a Plantower pms-5003, a $20 Dart sensor and a decent co2 sensor.
I have huge CO2 monitors around the house, very useful devices, I wonder how accurate this one is, regular chinese ones are pretty good, yet they are hefty ac devices
Has any one used this in wood shop or other dust place to mesure air quality? Is it accurate and does it do data logging that is exportable to a computer?
The sensor is a Plantower pms3003. You can tell by the blue wrap around the sensor body.
The sharp sensor is garbage since it doesn't have a fan to move air.
Plantower is the best sensor available for consumer use. The purpleair.org unit uses two for accuracy and verified to be within 1% of BAM equipment.
rf134aYou are correct, I thought they had it in a case to blow air across it. I had only looked at the old design with the external fan like this picture.
