This 100-percent cotton denim chore coat was originally designed as a traditional workman’s overcoat, but its popularity has extended far beyond the original workwear application. Thanks to its versatility, this layering piece has become a streetwear favorite—and Pointer Brand’s bestselling coat.
Made of high-quality indigo denim dyed and woven at White Oak Cone Denim Mills in Greensboro, North Carolina, this lightweight coat features four top-loading patch pockets, one of which snaps. Polished nickel buttons run from the hem to the pointed collar, and the cuffs fasten with matching buttons. The coat comes prewashed, so the denim is soft, supple, and ready to wear. Because they’re prewashed, coats come preshrunk about a quarter to half a size; this should be taken into consideration when choosing a size.
Near the dawn of the 20th century, Pointer Brand’s founder, Landon Clayton King, sought durable workwear that functioned on the farm or the hunt while retaining its rugged character. Finding none to his liking, he founded his own company and soon developed Pointer Brand coats, named after his beloved bird dogs. Carrying on the proud tradition, the Pointer Brand Chore Coat offers a practical, durable design.
Note: Model is 5'10" 160 lbs. and wearing a size Medium.
