I’ve never owned a Porsche watch myself and am just curious about the brand as a whole. How well are Porsche watches made. Do they keep their value or increase in value over time. Anyone who owns one pls let me know.

SCtallguyThe short answer is no. While Porsche Design has an interesting history and was once more desirable, it is currently little more than a "fashion watch" brand that costs off the name Porsche. They were once made by IWC Schauffhausen but then sold to Eterna, which was then bought by China. It does appear they are currently made in Switzerland (the movement at the very least) so that's something. The movement is a pretty simple Sellita which are very common. Needless to say, you will not be able to resell this watch at all to a dealer. To Drop's credit, they are selling it for much less than the company does on their website (6000 euros). If you really like the design and have the scratch then go for it but you can probably find something much better for the same amount or less.

I avoid these style, once the band breaks, no parts or bands to replace them. I wear mine daily not for showcase so expect to get 5-7 years out of them without issues.

Nice looking watch, never understood the world time function (display in this case). Every 6 months the British daylight savings change screws it up. Bangkok is 6 hrs ahead of the UK only 6 months of the year.

Personally I like it. Elegant and classy.
Not chunky totally different as design concept. Minimalistic and refined!

I'm still hoping that the Drop folks will run across a stash of Porsche Design 1919 Datetimer Eternity watches and offer them for sale as those are the ones I really want.

Thanks for the head up Pecoste! Unfortunately, so very close, but still not the one... That one is the very unloved funky looking bronze version that overstock dot com has been trying to unload for a few months now at a similar price. Still waiting and hoping for the blue sunray face model...

fazalmajidNot sure 😓, big maybe if it was also a chronometer and with titanium bracelet. We've 👁 here several ⌚ with the Valjoux for 💲9️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ish and that's not even the best deal for the Valjoux we've got here
