I am considering joining the P6500 drop but one thing is really bothering me. This watch is made around 1999 and depending on the storage condition a thorough dissassembly/cleaning will be needed to remove hardened lubricant. (due to gravitation, lubricant usually dips to one side of the watch mechanism) Winding any watch out ouf the box after many years of storage could seriously damage it. Even worse, if it was out of the box already and somebody wound it and damaged it, I'll buy a dud. Here in Toronto, I could expect to pay a fix in the range of $300 or worse, to find it unserviceable
This is a one of a kind opportunity to get a quality $3000 for $1000. I am only worried that this might be a too good to be true.
MD should come out clear with the warranty details and MECHANICAL condition of the watches.

TwireYes, you nailed it, and in a comment below I asked Massdrop to be transparent about any warranty and terms, etc.
