Can anyone confirm that the expansions here are in fact compatible with the Deluxe version of Power Grid, given that they changed power sources from trash to natural gas in the revised edition and made some other minor tweaks here and there?

TaniosYou beat me to it. Fairly certain that the Russia & Japan and The Robots expansions are NOT compatible with the Deluxe edition. Jesus, Massdrop, get your shit together.

graftI can't imagine why they wouldn't be compatible. The art might be a bit dated on the older expansions, but the balance for those was done per map, not to the base game necessarily.
Unless you can provide a strong case on what changed ruleset wise between the Deluxe version and the original game, I don't see why you should write off the old expansions so readily.

TaniosI checked on board game geek and the community claims robots is compatible but I was not able to find an answer for Russia/Japan.

KonradenThe problem is the deluxe version is not the same game as the original as things have been updated with what resources are. CypheroniI saw the same thing on amazon. The robots expansion is agnostic to any of the changed between the original and deluxe. The stock companies expansion is also compatible with both games as well, even says on the box, but the Deck expansion is not.,

TaniosIt is compatible. I play them all the time with my old expansion maps and the new Deluxe base game. The only thing that won't match up is that you will place the Natural Gas components on the trash spaces in the resource market. Other than that the changes are pretty much cosmetic. You won't have spaces printed on the board to put the power plant market, and the cities will be round instead of square, but it will work.
Edit: The power plant deck is not, unless you are fine just using natural gas as trash on those plants.
