Good build quality but Ortholinears are not for everyone
I built my Preonic the other day and was impressed at the quality of the assembled board. And hotswappable switches is always a great feature. But after an hour of using it, I realized Ortholinear keyboards were not for me. You basically need to unlearn the way you've gotten used to typing and get used to the new layout.
Having to use layers didn't bother me nearly as much as the grid layout of the keys, which led to constant mispresses. I think your enjoyment of Preonic/Planck will depend on how willing you are to learn new ways of doing things. Would recommend to a friend but with the warning that Ortholinear boards are very polarizing.
Would recommend to a friend.
