I received my kit on Tuesday, assembled it yesterday, and have been using it today, and I'm *very* impressed with almost every aspect of the kit.
However ... Massdrop, that "FCC" label is a real shame. It has weird, ugly font spacing, numerous misspellings, and it's stuck on crooked. It takes a keyboard that seems like a quality item and gives it a bit of an aura of cheap Chinese import junk. I will probably remove mine (thus "fixing" the problem), but you really need to keep a closer eye on this sort of thing for future drops.
Just a note for anyone wondering, the sticker leaves a ton of sticker scum behind if you are tempted to try removing it.
Now I have to figure out how to remove that too without damaging the finish
That is regrettable. Fortunately, anodized aluminum is impervious to many things. Hopefully it can be cleaned off with a solvent. Chlorine and ammonia can be problematic (no glass cleaner!), as can strong acids or bases (no citrus oil!), but I'd try isopropyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, naptha, or mineral spirits without worrying too much. Check on the inside first, of course.
What I plan to apply (but have not yet) is heat. Anodized aluminum will take a LOT of heat, and most adhesives will not. A heat gun and a scrub with a non-abrasive or mildly abrasive pad (not more than ScotchBrite) should take care of it.
