This is the Rev 3 Preonic! It has the same feature set as the Rev 6 Planck that I've been working on, but unfortunately breaks some of the compatibility with Rev 1/2 stuff. Please keep that in mind if you're trying to plan a build with different parts. The USB port has been pulled back in a bit to match the Planck's, and the mounting post holes have been converted to use 2.5mm soldered-in standoffs (using M2 screws in the drop).
It features Kailh's hot-swap sockets, an STM32 Arm processor, and USB-C! There are lots of extra footprints on the PCB for neat add-ons, and we're working on setting up a drop just for those components and related items.
Similar Preonic parts will be available on my store after the drop, but I'm not sure when those will be delivered yet - finishing up the soon-to-ship Planck parts will allow me to make a better guess! I'll be adding more info here as time goes on!

Now to convince my partner that I need this, but I guess I can use the excuse that I do need to buy myself a birthday gift for having rotated once again around the sun... :) Hope the orange case will look as good as in the previous drop!

YanboWuWhat keycaps are these exactly? Profile etc. Didn't see any specs in the overview other than that they are PBT.

jackhumbertwill there be more options for cases available on the oklb website (ie the matte white finish and/or the datamancer) in the future? cause this annodised stuff is kinda fugly, and annodisation scratches off way too easily to be useful as a travel keyboard.

jackhumbertWhat is the practical use of that top-removal-aware shape of holes in MX style plate? I mean, when it's also a hotplugging-enabled board. I want those holes to be just a simple squares from aesthetic point of view. I suppose it's not yet too late to make a change in design. Could you consider that?

jackhumberthow does the acrylic hold up/feel? I want to use this as a home and on-the-go board, but acrylic can crack easily and I wouldn't want it to be easily damaged

bsastorDropping it isn’t the concern, acrylic is very brittle and can form small cracks when stress is applied to it. Theoretically sitting on a desk is fine, but I’m not sure I’d take it anywhere

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
