May I check whether 75g zealios switch option is correct? I cannot find 75g in zeal website.

I think they are supposed to be 65g (which is far more common and also present on the Planck drop). Hopefully someone can clarify or fix the listing.

Thanks, after reading the 70 pages of discussion on the Planck I can't seem to figure out if the plate for the Preonic (or the current Planck offering) is the universal plate which allows for switch opening (universal plate?). Do you know?

There is no universal plate here. The only choice you have is either 2U space bar with a stabilizer (MIT) or a full grid keyboard of all 1U keys (GRID) There are no other bottom row options. Check out the ATOMIC if additional bottom row configurations are what you're looking for.

Thanks, I am happy with the GRID but was hoping to be able to open my switches at some point. No big deal still pretty excited.

Since the same plate supports both MX and Alps switches, the cutout for the switch would allow for switch top removal of MX switches.

Best news yet, thanks! (P.S. Do you have about a dozen OL keyboards by now? I saw you all over the other thread)

I just counted. I have more than a dozen...
You can see the different cutout styles here http://builder.swillkb.com/ click on the question mark for descriptions of the different cutouts.

that is not the meaning of "universal plate". a plate can be 'universal' (supports more than one possible layout), and allow opening switch top. the plate in this drop is not universal (you choose either MIT or grid plate), and as far as I can tell, it allows opening switch top.

Understood, thanks, I was just going based on the labeling/descriptions from the previous drop.

I saw one of yours had the Zealios which is where I am leaning. Were you a tactile fan before them or Clicky/Linear? Are you happy with them (I have read a lot of hype and am pretty stoked to try them out). Currently I rotate through Matias Quiet Click, Cherry Blues and Cherry Reds at work and have a Topre and a board with Browns on the way. (newly minted KB enthusiast with an 80hr/wk IT job which gives me many excuses to find a perfect keyboard)

I like either click or tactile. I'm not picky. I like Gateron brown/blue, Cherry clear/green/white, Zealios. I like Zealios for their clear housings. The only one I tried and didn't like was Cherry grey tactile. Those were too heavy.
