What brands do you recommend (preferably) ground? I’ve tried Stone Street Dark Roast and have not been impressed (still bitter). Where’s the “smooth” flavor everyone talks about with cold brew?

glennachow long are you letting your coffee brew? I use whole beans, but then i set my grinder to the most coarse grind my grinder will do. We just buy a kirkland signature brand coffee bean from Costco. either that or most grocery stores have grinders that you can use there when you are selecting your bean. pick out a medium roast and run it through their grinder on the coarsest grind they have, and try it again!

glennacThat might just be your palate. I buy from Thanksgiving Coffee Company and find their coffees to taste smooth when cold brewed. https://store.thanksgivingcoffee.com/classic-blends-c12.aspx My favorite is the Mocha Java medium roast. To me, it still has a little bit of bitter in it, but just a hint. They have some flavored blends that don't taste bitter at all to me, but I prefer my coffee to have just a little bitterness so I don't typically drink those.
