Primus Quality
The Primus Micron gas canister lantern arrived and fulfilled the expectations I have of Primus' high quality. Came with I nstructions for both first use and regular use. Lights easily, burns cleanly, adjusts the pleasantly warm-colored flame/light easily, and the long cable makes it easy to hang without being overly close to something flammable. Max brightness is significantly brighter than an UCO candle lantern or Feuerhand kero/paraffin hurricane lantern. The only cons: (1) The long hang cable gets in the way a bit when not hanging the lantern or packing it; and (2) The metal screen, while significantly more durable than a glass globe, does allow wind to pass through to the mantle, which causes the flame to flicker noticeably if the wind is stronger than a mild breeze (I knew to expect this). All in all, a nice way to use up partial canisters.

Tough, small, easy to use
This is a great back up lantern. Tough and small, it is easy to pack and easy to use as long as you are carrying the proper fuel. Not super bright but good for localized light needs.

Great little lamp!
Recently purchased one, and have used it on 2 trips to the desert. Runs well on Isobutane, Uses the coleman clip-on mantles just fine. Really really BRIGHT at full blast. Even worked well in 35mph winds. Best thing about it is a small can of isobutane will fit in the lamp bag with it.

This is a great little lantern. It puts out just enough light to light up a small area without blinding you. It is relatively quiet. So far, I have only used it while car camping. I would take it on a short backpacking trip (2 or 3 days). It appears to be fairly durable. The built-in lighter works like a charm. The only thing I don't like about it is the cable attached to hang it. I do not think I will ever use it and it is just in the way and adds weight. I'll probably remove it.

Used it to camp this past weekend. Had my big old Coleman with me too just in case and never even took it out of the car. This thing is light, compact, easy to set up and start, and plenty bright. I would say not as bright as the old school huge propane Coleman but the difference is not enough to warrant lugging the fragile glass lantern around.

Tiny, heavy duty, and light all at once. Knob is quick to fully open, but fine adjustments (barely open) will bring it down to candle glow. When a canister gets low on a stove, this will finish it out completely. Kovea propane adapter works perfect with it, and will get brighter than iso, runs slightly hotter but nothing troubling so far, plastics don't get any warmer than usual. Incandescent light is a welcome change from led lanterns, the heat is a luxurious benefit. The bag is coated inside, so we're a mantle to "dust" itself, it's well contained. That said, after a couple months, the original mantle is still flawless.

My new favorite piece of gear for winter camping. I try to keep things light, and I count my grams, but that leave room for a few pieces of luxury gear. This little guy tops that list. It's really great for shelter camping. Lit up our little Adirondack with charm. It also throws off some heat. I've boiled water in a 750ml mug, heated up my tent vestibule and dried out the legs of my pants in one go. If you don't mind a little extra weight, consider adding this to your gear list.
