As a Canadian, flipper tabs on knives existed in a grey area from about 2018 to 2019, and then they fixed the wording which made the rules less ambiguous. I ordered this knife before becoming aware that the laws had changed around 2018 making these kinds of knives basically illegal. This knife was seized by customs and I lost my money and all that. I was excited to get this knife but that's how the cookie crumbles, I guess. Canadians should be extremely wary of buying flipper tab knives and please Drop, you know I live in Canada, stop sending me promotional material for knives that feature flipper tabs.
This blade is beefy! Don’t plan on filleting salmon with it, but if you need it to do some heavy duty work, this is awesome. It can be a bit heavy at times, but totally worth it. Plus the “click” of the liner lock on this thing is akin to the racking of a pump shotgun...it has the ability to strike fear in an unknowing assailant (maybe not really, but it is distinctive and you know the blade is locked in place!).
This is not a knife for light duty. It is meant to be used and used. It is not the greatest for EDC, meaning, pick your jobs for it, and then put it away.
A super stout knife that definitely makes a presence in your pocket. Arrived shave sharp and with great ergonomics, although on the bigger side of “daily carry “ no complaints
Nice Knife - solid and well finished - the only thing I don't like is the ugly cut out on the handle for the Left Cary clip placement - it ruins the awesome look of the handle and it also didn't show in the photos when I ordered it (seems they have updated photos as it shows in the photos now... -
