Expensive mistake. As others have stated, the split rings are crap. That's ok, I replaced them. Then the spring mechanism bound up. The copper appeared to become galled from the steel spring causing extra friction. That led to the spring bending. Now it doesnt work at all. What a peice of ill designed garbage!
