I bought this 12/15, in a I believe a copper version (based on its patina), directly from his website when he had a special going during Christmas and it is my most favorite top. After period of practice, I can get now 10 - 13 minutes each spin. While I have a British top that is a bit more massive and thus spins longer, the Lambda is much nicer to carry and spins on a small 2 inch makeup mirror. For me that is great especially while travelling. The design and workmanship are superb. The ruby is a perfect size, not like some of the other tops that I bought where the rubies are so small that its almost impossible to spin appropriately without having the outer edge of the bottom hitting the spinning base due to the lack of height. You do not have that problem on the Lambda. While not cheap, relatively speaking, it will last a lifetime (unless you crack the ruby by mishandling it) and cost at that time are literally negligible. It's a great gift too and definitely a magnet for visiting co-workers especially if there is a challenge for the longest spin.
If you are looking to buy one and only one top, this would be a top contender.
Sorry that wasn't fair - these are great wordplay even if they are not puns, and I really would like to see more of this.
We really want Massdrop to be a hub at the middle of every hobby...you know, a centrifyouguys and gals to speak freely.
