Received the quadcopter today. Massdrop sent the wrong one. Order an X-Wing. They sent an X1. Ordered it for my sons birthday that is 9 days from now. Thanks Massdrop. I love it when you get sent something you didn't order.

Sorry to hear that. Assuming that they took this long because they didn't have the merchandise in stock to back up the sale orders, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it on purpose to some customers to buy more time, since X-wing is no doubt the number one seller. I am supposed to get my X-wing and the Tie tomorrow. After all these wait and emailing support etc, I'd be furious if I don't get exactly what I ordered. Hope they send you the right one in time for your son's b day, if not give em hell!

Just exchanged messages with Massdrop about the wrong item. They say that they can't make it right because "We only order the exact quantities needed for each drop, which means there is no extra inventory available to send as a replacement. " Lesson learned. Avoid fly-by-night online retailers. I genuinely hope everyone else gets what they ordered. Good luck guys and gals.

WoW.. I am speechless.. that's some major BS. Another company didn't hold up their end of bargain before getting on this deal so I asked for a full refund. I'd ask for a full refund from these guys too if such thing happened to me, but that's me. Hope your son will be happy with it.

They will refund you. I got a tie fighter that worked great, until it didn't. A motor burned out. Sadly, they refunded me instead of replaced. They do not have a replace option. For $40 over $70 to $120 retail. Have to deal with the shortcomings. I would not have even been able to afford one otherwise

what you went through and what bncrshr is going through are different. You actually got what you ordered. He ordered Xwing and they sent him Tie, and claim there's nothing they could do about it when the mistake is clearly on their side. Sure it was a good deal, so all of us jumped on it, but that's no excuse for bad support nor not upholding the company's end of the bargain. Nobody wants to order something and wait and end up getting a refund. This is absolutely the last thing that anyone wants to do, but I refuse to support any company that says "sorry that's our policy and it is what it is" after the customer waited long and didn't get what they ordered in the first place.

So get this. Massdrop is selling more Star Wars quadcopters. And, they have the X-Wing. But, they wouldn't replace the wrong order they sent me. So, the message I received from them, "We only order the exact quantities needed for each drop, which means there is no extra inventory available to send as a replacement. " is total BS. But, they do have inventory to replace the wrong item. They're just too full of themselves to make things right. Untrustworthy.

They full refund you for the faulty quadchopper, but then you have to reorder if they do another drop. They got enough votes to reinitiate a drop, but i do not have the money to buy one :*( If you want these at the price they are at hete, going to have to work around their shortcomings. If not, Amazon is selling them for $20 plus or more! Not trying to be snarky, it is the nature of this beast. I had no issues with them refunding me, but i am not sure if my story is the norm. Doing the steps to get there is not exactly convenient, but not impossible. They also did not try charging me any reshelving fee. So, i guess it is a matter of what you can tolerate, then chose who you prefer to buy from. The x wing we got stiil seems to be doing its thing. Good luck, and hope you find what you are looking for.
