These normally run $65, and can only be had off a couple sites. I've had my eye on these since way back at version 2, When you could only find them on the secondary market, and they were well over $100, if you could find them. $40 for these is a steal! Hence why I, and several forumite friends of mine jumped all over this drop. All 100 gone in less than 24hrs.

Thanks for the precision! I wish I had known that before you sneaky foxes bought all units! 🤣
I'll just request it then, and hope it comes back!
(although, $65 - or even $40 - is pretty steep for such a small item, even if manufactured in the USA... I assume production costs are high and manufacturing of these is heavily dependent on manual labor)

Agreed, even $40 is a little steep, BUT I've got tritium lanterns on my keys that are much smaller, and run well over $100 for milled titanium. These being knurled, and milled to accept 2x1.5x6mm tritium tubes, that's where the price comes from. A LOT of precision machining going into these.

Understood, I should have jumped on it!
There is a Prometheus Kappa Quick-Release Keychain drop at this time; I placed an order, then cancelled (the discount was so small) but I'm still on the fence. Should I take that one or not... 🤔

I've heard good things about the kappa, but I've not personally used one, other than to play with a friends. It's nice, but it doesn't "lock" in like these do. It's also gonna be a good bit heavier than these, due to materials used. If you wanted a quick release for a Prometheus light, I'd suggest the kappa.
