Lolz looks like Bogart is trying too hard. Are you working or are they paying you to say theses things ? why do you care if people don't like it ? Too me this is way to expensive lacks many features. Fiio has done it for me. Their players are priced right have many features i want and they add more by updating their software more often them some of the so called "high end daps" cough *overpriced*cough with shotty OS's.
I do agree they are too expensive. But QLS's strength is in making microcontrollers. I don't expect them to provide fancy OS at the beginning. Their feature product a few years back, QA350, plays nothing but .wav files. I tried it around 2012 and I think it trounce any FiiO on the market at that time. I did not buy 350 at that time because of poor file support. But hey... it sounds better. So it is up to the buyer whether he is looking for better SQ or friendly UI.
I do like the way FiiO does business. I had every FiiO product before they released E18. Good quality and plenty of features. But I think the X5+E12 stack had proven that FiiO still got some homework to do. I am always expected the X7 or X9 to come out.
I am simply reprinting ALL available comments since people were rightly complaining that there is very little information available about this new product. It is interesting that the people who " don't like it" have not heard it, while all of the people who have heard it and written about it seem quite impressed.
Actually I had heard this product when I was gone back China for business. I was totally impressed by the sound by thing little thing, it got good treble, and neutral mid range. I am not a bass lover, so the bass, to me, is acceptable. The build quality is pretty good. I got a small hand ( iphone 5s is just suitable for my hand), and this product makes me comfortable in my hand. Though the operation system might seems to be weird for someone. But I think this simply system would be much more efficient after you got used to it.
