They sound pretty great out of the box. The blue leathery holding case it comes with is roomy but doesn't really provide a way to keep the lid shut, like while it's in your bag.
I mainly listen to electronica and female vocals, and these iems make me want to keep listening to music, they sound so good. Nice seperation of sounds without too much bass.
The unit is very very light, lighter than plastic and aluminum alloy IEMs. Build quility is not bad. The resolution and image are not as good as Moondrop blessing 2, but not bad. The tuning is similar to DF-neutral to slightly V-shape. It is a pleasant tuning but not harsh, not shouty. Overall, it is a slightly sweeter but less neutral Moondrop starfield. If you don't pursue high resolution and want to buy an IEM with a certain level of tuning, resolution, and entertainment for $165, Adonis is a very good choice.
