I am totally delighted with this well made, beautiful, knife in every way. It is a striking, robust tool and a real attention grabber.
If you are comfortable with an EDC that isn't looking for a place to hide, then you will not be disappointed with the performance, fit, and finish of this purchase. A great value.
I adore this knife! Fantastic design, it is to me elegant. S35VN steel carbon fiber and G110!
Holds an edge like nobody’s business, terrific in the hand! I had this I my pocket the other day when I noticed that my wisteria bush was getting wild. So, with this I literally trimmed my wisteria and there wasn’t an edge out of place!!
Very smooth for what it is. Came razor sharp out of the box, but I always put my own edge on anyway, as I want it scary sharp. Light and easy to carry, barely notice it's there when in your pocket. My only gripe is I prefer a tip down carry for speed of deployment in emergency situations. Action and lockup is good, and will no doubt improve with time.
Having little knowledge of this brand and maker, I am real pleased with this knife. The pros include: blade is centered; opening is smooth with enough detent to give a firm positive deployment; the bevel on the knife is symmetrical and it is sharp (a quick few dashes on my leather strop is all it took to keen in on the edge to really sharp); only the slightest encouragement was needed for the blade to ‘fall’ closed back into the handle; the transition from the carbon fiber bolster and the rest of the G10 scale is absolutely seamless (this is a no small feat!); the gimping on the blade, the back spacer, as well as the lock all function versus just look good.
There is one slight con... there is a short section (about 4mm) on one side of the spine just beyond the gimping on the blade that is slightly ‘rounded’, creating a non-symmetrical appearance. I really had to look for it to find it. Other than observing some skeletonizing on the liner for weight savings, I have not taken this knife apart to view the innards yet.
The blade and knife are meant for light to medium duty, which for most EDC’ers of this knife, this is all that is needed. Overall, I am looking forward to EDC’ing this S35VN knife that comes with a slight recurve. I do not anticipate any issue sharpening this knife when needed. For the money, this was a good value purchase.
The fit and finish is awesome. Ergonomics are great. It even sharpens easily in a guided system as the recurve is nice and subtle but still functional.
