The QSP Kylin looks like something you might uncover in a treasure chest. Fitted with radiant blue titanium scales with golden accents and a carbon fiber insert, the Kylin gleams when held at different angles. Shaped like a scimitar, it provides a secure grip from the index to the pinkie finger, and gives you plenty of wrist extension when cutting. For even more control, the tang of the blade is aggressively jimped with wave-like grooves. Cutting with the Kylin comes easy, courtesy of the S35VN stainless steel blade—available in black with a satin-finished edge, or in satin with just a touch of black coating. A titanium frame lock prevents the blade from failing, and a tip-up titanium clip makes it easy to take on the go.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
