I love the look and feel of this knife. It came with a very sharp blade and is my ideal size for an EDC knife. Let's hope it remains durable and holds an edge well.
First, a quick review of Drop. This is the third time I've ordered something, and not received what I ordered. I ordered two knives, in the black micarta. I received one in micarta and one in G-10. I try to support Drop, but their quality control has now let me down multiple times.
As for the knife, it was smaller than I thought it would be, but I still really like it. It has perhaps the best flipper tab I've used. It barely protrudes out, but it's enough to dig into the meat of your fingertip, and launch that blade out with ease. I with more knives were designed with similar flipper tabs. It won't make it into my regular rotation, because it's a little to small for me, but if you prefer a more compact knife, this might be a great EDC knife.
Sleek, sexy looking little knife. This blade is great for fine detailing on any small fine cuts or even for cleaning your nails and trimming your cuticles. Great for peeling labels and such but l definitely don’t see this one as a hard use blade
Perfectly center, super sharp out of box, smooth action and a little ergonomically wonky and small, but I knew that coming in, this thing is gonna get used for opening Amazon boxes and for that it is awesome.
After the huge hit from the QSP Penguin, I thought I'd give the new Leopard a try. Reviews were not very positive online but I hoped for the best.
Straight out the box:
-Grittiest action I've ever felt
-Worst lock stick I've ever experienced
-Absolute ergonomic nightmare, makes no sense in my small size hands so all you larger hands would probably be worse.
-Off-centre
Update: Did a tear down and it's better, not amazing but better. It seems they all come out the box like this which is pretty poor form. The hardware is nice though 🥲
Update #2: Finally it's properly smooth, but it's still not ergonomic and wasn't very sharp out the box. I mean it cuts paper but it's fluffing the edge a bit
