Named for its wide, scooped blade, the QSP Pelican may not be able to fly, but it can certainly elevate your everyday carry. The blade is made from S35VN, arguably the best commercial steel on the market. That means you can use this knife over and over without worrying about constant sharpening or corrosion buildup. Opening the knife is as simple as pressing the flipper tab. Courtesy of the ceramic ball bearings, it deploys fast and effortlessly. Once deployed, the Pelican seals shut with a strong liner lock, not unlike the bird of prey closing its spacious pouch. Fitted with flax micarta handle scales and a tip-up clip, the Pelican will make an excellent addition to any EDC rotation.

Developed by Crucible Industries (one of the leading manufacturers of specialty steels for the cutlery industry) and Chris Reeve (arguably the most famous knifemaker in the world), S35VN is perhaps the most balanced blade steel ever created in terms of all-around performance. It’s made through a process of powdered metallurgy known as CPM, which results in near perfect consistency in the distribution of carbides. Compared to conventional melting practices, the CPM process produces a steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grindability, and toughness.
