Wait, this knife is called the Platypus!? Bwahahahah! For real!? That has got to be one of the dumbest names for a knife. Why would anybody name a knife after the creature God created after one drunk night when Lucifer bet that he wouldn't? As funny as that maybe/may not be the truth, it's still a stupid animal who's name is just ridiculous to use as a knife. Like, if I was kicking it with the homies, and everyone was showing off their new edc gear, I'd be so embarassed if this knife was the one I pulled out of my pocket. The name is just super cringey, like nails on a chalkboard. And there's so many different other animals, that have way cooler names, and are super bad-ass, who's name they could of went with. But no. They chose Platypus. Which honestly, doesn't suit this pretty cool looking knife. It really is a shame.

JediJonI actually see it, looking at the abbreviated clip point as the bill, studs as the stupid little eyes, then the curvy handle is all comfortable and aquadynamic like a fat little streamlined platypus body. If you like clip points with B A D A S S names you should take a gander at the Cold Steel Steve Austin Knife, or 'Broken Skull' as some call it. It's named after Mr. Austin's ranch, full of H E L L C O W S grazing in the P A S T U R E O F P A I N

OmniseedWait, Steve Austin as in the wrestler 3:16, stone cold stunner, Steve Austin!? LOL oh man, I gotta see this thing now. BTW, after your description of the platypus (the knife), all I can see is a platypus (the marsupial) everytime I look at it now. It really is such a weird animal. It's like, if a beaver banged a duck, and their blasphemous offsprings just banged each other. After multiple generations of "keeping it in the fam," they successfully mutated their DNA, ultimately becoming, The Platypus!

JediJonoh wow check this shot of it out I want one of those belt slides. It's a fantastic long-light-strong knife, well made but not terribly refined, blade steel is excellent for the price and build quality, they have a specific kind of look to them but you can't go wrong with it.

OmniseedOkay, no doubt. I can dig that knife, for sure. I actually own a cheap folder with that same blade shape. It's a very pronounced tip at that angle. I've always liked slightly aggressive blade shapes. Just as long as it's done tastefully of coarse. None of that over the top, gaudy looking, zombie themed bullshit. It's got to be classy and professional, while also ready to command and throw down when needed...yeah...oh, and not be called the platypus.

OmniseedI have this one with orange scales. It a good knife. I thot it was a bit weird for a Steve Austin creation. I see him as producing something more like the AD-10.

14themoneyToday I learned that Steve Austin designs knives. You'd figure it'd have a brew key on the back or something

14themoneyIt's actually a modernization of their old Lone Star Hunter knife, very different in construction but ultimately the same profile redesigned as a lightweight working knife. So I dunno how much 'designing' Steve Austin actually did in terms of creating the form of it but it's a sweet knife and Austin is a pretty cool guy and as far as I know the entire concept came from him so
