Can someone provide a picture of the back of the sheath. I need to assess how to mount it to a PFD life jacket for a quick release survival tool.

I don't get all the hate for the little sharpener? I mean it's not the best but it does the job in a pinch

It's, convenient enough I think, you must unhook the sheath from where it is though. And mind your fingers, I did nick myself trying out different ways of holding it. I have the sheath on a fastener to a machete so it's easy to reach for lighter tasks. It makes unhooking it pretty awkward though.

HipsterMcHipHonestly, I'll be sitting this one out. While QSP has surprised me with the value for their stuff, I just am not in the need for a knife that this one is marketed for. If I was, I would with little hesitation at this price point

What is the blade thickness of this knife and what is the knife blade grind?

haydukemanI think it's a piece of plastic that keeps the led light from turning on.

Looks interesting, but a Mora Bushcraft would be a more serious survival tool, IMO. It is more money, but you get what you pay for.

'Survival knife' to me means something that can take a beating in a pinch. I had a Kershaw blade snap because of a tiny hole in the spine. I would hesitate to use a knife with a giant hole in the critical stress area for light prying, something I do often for fire prep.

I'd buy one if it didn't have that sharpener on there, but that's just too dangerous to have around the house. Someone might try to help by using it on a knife.

What are they showing us in picture 7?
KavikThat's the cyanide pill, in case you are captured. Hail Hydra!

That's a nifty looking sheath. No, not the firestarter, flashlight or blade-destroying sharpener, but the button lock. If I hadn't ordered the Neckmuk, I'd be interested if only to try out the 9Cr14Mov. Plus the the bottle opener! It's a pandemic after all, we need our essentials.

Wow, my order was shipped 4/10 and expected to arrive on 5/13. Fedex must be using pony and dolphin delivery service. Hope you like your Neckmuk.

bookworm13The button lock is a cool feature. Unfortunately, you're right about the other features. The fire steel is unnecessarily tiny and hard to use. The dangling striker tag makes noise and barely works. (Why didn't they just put a 90-degree edge or jimped surface somewhere on the back of the blade?) Even if the flashlight wasn't terrible, it uses a bundled stack of button cell batteries. The sharpener is terrible. At least the bottle opener is good.
