Quad ERA-1 headphones are superb
They live up to expectations set by Quad which goes some way to making up for the poor experience of buying them through Drop

RajPatelI do not understand, since DROP is supposedly a discount store (not a cooperative as some might think), why they bother to promote an item at full list price? Were this very attractive retro item sold at a steep discount, promoting a good value, one might be tempted. Anyhow, there's a manufacturer's warranty I assume. In spite of all that DROP had better come up to standards, such as that set by AMAZON. Returns, no questions asked. No one buying online wants problems with returning goods that have not preformed as expected.

RobwiIt was sold as a bundle with options to buy the amp, headphones or both. Drops setup, I posted where I was directed to.

RobwiI have the PA-One, it’s a great amp, I recommend both the headphones and amp, but not via Drop. You won’t get warranty on top of other problems

RajPatelI used to buy very regularly from drop up till about a year ago. Several high end headphones, a DAC, two HP amps. I guess I've been lucky that I haven't needed exchanges, returns, or had defective products. All I read about is the high percentage of nightmarish encounters on out of the box defectives. For the slight-if any amount of money saved, it's not worth the risk of buying on Drop. Not to mention the delivery times.
