I just got the shipping notification shortly ago - I'm pretty bummed that it ships via USPS, from America. I'm in Germany, and UK is right around the corner. This means I'll need to take a 45 minute drive to the customs office to pay taxes which I wouldn't have to do if it was shipped from UK without a stupid detour to America.
Looks like my email in which I asked if I can get a clear switch & if shipping from UK was feasible was ignored too... Kind of a bad first Massdrop experience...
Taxes for USPS, like... regular mail? Man, that sucks.
And to be fair - those extras like clears depended on vendors stance on the drop, so MD can't really help with such things.
And that's the point of the massdrop in the end - getting goods in large quantities and shipping them in bulk in one package to one place - and here's where most savings come from and where MD gets their bulk discount. If they will impose the shipping of actual good to the vendor - then what's the point of this service in first place?
Though I agree it can be a bit frustrating for a package to make 2 half of the world trips to get to destination :)
Hey the-kenny. After looking into fulfilling the EU orders ourselves, it was actually cheaper and quicker for Massdrop to handle the orders. for us. As for the clear switch, I'm not sure I've had an email from you? I reply to every single email I get - I make it a point - so email me again (firstname.lastname@example.org).
