Rab Merino 120 SS & LS Base Layers

A lightweight alternative to traditional cotton shirts, the Rab Merino 120 short-sleeve and long-sleeve shirt are a go-to base layer for year-round adventures in the mountains or around town. Made with superfine merino wool and polyester, the material is moisture wicking and dries quickly in the event of a downpour. The fabric has been treated with 37.5 Technology, which actively responds to body heat by turning liquid into vapor. The flatlock, low-bulk seams prevent chafing and pack wear, while the close-fitting neck offers a snug feel. For additional warmth, the long-sleeve version has a deep YKK chest zipper that provides ventilation on balmy days and can be zipped all the way up to give you extra insulation around your neck.

Rab was founded by Scottish mountaineer Rab Carrington in 1980 Sheffield, England. Drawing from his experience expeditioning in the Alps, the Himalayas, the Andes, and elsewhere, Carrington began making down sleeping bags and clothing for the climbing community. Production started in his attic, and as demand grew, moved to a factory in Sheffield. Since then, the company has expanded its offerings to include a full range of climbing and mountaineering apparel—most notably its rain jackets and down parkas—plus sleeping bags, shelters, gaiters, and gloves.
