Read the OutdoorGearLab review. They mentioned the jacket is not breathable. I initially thought that meant it trapped moisture (crazy, right?), but reading further it's apparent what they meant was it's really difficult to vent heat when too warm. It obviously performed well in all other aspects, but I'd still like to hear from anyone who can comment on this lack of breathability. Am thinking of getting this for the missus for casual wear. She gets cold easily and loves outerwear that's warm and light. This technical piece is super light but for casual wear maybe overkill?

kbearIn a related note I have read multiple owners saying that this garment was superior at drying layers that were worn underneath it. Perhaps that is an effect of it's limited 'breathability'.

moxtrAn example of the common misconception of breathability and air-permeability. It is rated as windproof, so air-permeability is intentionally low.
