Thanks for your review and thoughts @jeffri and @nangryo. These really do sound like older siblings of the TWF11 and 21 from what you're saying, with a piezoelectric instead of dynamic driver for the highs now. I love the styling, detachable cables, and that they've kept the case which is still the nicest clamshell I've seen for an earphone. The only thing holding me back is the price. And it's still not exactly clear what the difference between the TWF31 and TWF41 is or if it's really worth $100. So i'll just wait to see if anyone comes up with more comparisons :) the only other info i can find are people's impressions from demos. https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2546055/all http://www.head-fi.org/t/798892/radius-hp-twf41-w-n-4-price-drop#post_12381243

Indeed, $100 is quite steep. In my local store, the differences isn't that big (about $75), so it's an easier choice. Anyway, looking on the radius site: http://www.radius.co.jp/en_product/hp-twf31/ http://www.radius.co.jp/en_product/hp-twf41/
I just noticed the differences is that 41 uses beryllium coated diaphragm, while the 31 uses film. I guess that is more exotic material in use here to warrant the price differences. ;)
