I bought it from Amazon in December. The price was $74.25, but that was because of a one time flash deal. Definitely money very well spent. Pros: + Fantastic sound, very rich and detailed. A clear step up from my other BT receivers. The many superlatives are true. + Superb app. Highly customizable and with the most informative UI I've seen. + Wide codec support, including LDAC. Unfortunately no + Can be used as an external USB sound card / DAC-amplifier + Can drive high impedance headphones (works well with my Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 ohm) Cons: - High latency, mostly an issue when watching movies. No support for aptX LL. - Bad ergonomics. Buttons are too small, too recessed, and don't have a distinctive "feel". They are also on exact opposing ends of the device, so if you try to press Next Track with your index finger, your thumb will also presses Volume Up. Same thing with Previous Track and Volume Down. - MicroUSB port - Short battery life - Clip is poorly designed. Its spring tension is too weak and when the device is attached to a collar it sits too high. For a much better clip design, see BlueAnt Ribbon (which otherwise can't sniff the ES100). All in all, I give it 8/10 and would highly recommend to anyone who focuses mostly on sound quality. Edit: I just posted the same to Amazon. Update 10/10/2019: After 10 months of use my ES100 now only connects for several seconds and then disconnects. I see that this is not the only such report, so I guess this product has very limited life expectancy. I can't recommend it any more. Update 17/11/2019: And now it seems work consistently again. Not that it matters much. In the meanwhile I bought a FiiO BTR3 which I like more (has much better ergonomics, better clip, Type-C connector, aptX LL support, sounds just as good).

MyTechTripAccording to keepa.com Amazon sold it for $49.99 on June 26, but it's not clear for how long and whether there was any limit on number of units available at that price. In any case, even the price in this drop is fair enough to justify buying if one is looking for the best sounding portable BT receiver.

YirgOh the price is good, I'm just sad Amazon had it for over a week at this price and now if I buy it it will take forever haha.

YirgThese are my impressions as well- I love the device and recommend it. The controls and the clip fall short but everything else and a super-robust app make it an important piece of kit for me.

njgphotographyI checked camel camel and it's only dropped to $80 this recent time. It is not regularly on sale according to them, so I joined the drop.
YirgI've noticed very low latency with LDAC and I'm able to watch videos without any issue when using at codec.

UltimaRatioRegumThat's good to know, but unfortunately my TV doesn't support LDAC. My phone does, but I don't normally watch videos with it, at least not for extended periods while using my headphones.
