Love it or hate it, Karambits are here to stay. I am not a fan; it’s not my style (and all my experiences were with fixed blade ’conventional’ knives). I don’t know the style but this piece looks menacing and it is very often the menace of the blade that you want to emphasize, as you don’t really want that fight. (Do you?)
I find this knife very close in design to Quartermasters‘ karambit design crossed with their Thomas Magnum fixed blade. If you are a fan of QM, this will cost you less than half of a Texas-made/-assembled Quartermaster...
When I look at this overly ‘edgy‘ knife, I know I’ll need gloves. The hawkbill shape is good for rope and line cutting—although serrations would make it better for that use. If you don’t have a bill hook, this hawkbill might work in thinning out tough stems like raspberry, etc. in the garden... (?) Sorry guys; that’s the best use I could come up with short of slashing people... :(

AxeguyI'm actually tempted to buy this thing just so I can post pictures of it in gardening gloves, pruning a bush with it. Tactically.

AxeguyI can't stand Quartermaster. The owner is a sleazebag who claims his knives are made in the US, but cannot provide proof. His factory address was an empty lot. When the first thing a maker does is lie, they have lost me as a customer. Just like Mick Strider who lied about his military service. I won't buy from him. Too many real heroes to listen to his BS about being in special forces.

BoxBladeI had no idea! Thank you. I don’t buy from known sleazebags but they are everywhere! As a consumer, you want your money going to good and righteous makers. If anything, my impressions meeting them the first time determines who I give my money to.

AxeguyThanks my man. Mantis knives is owned by the father of the guy who owns Quartermaster. Also a sleazy guy. More and more, Brous is also emerging as a guy to stay away from. He way overcharges for titanium and D2 and he outsources much of the parts to China to be made, then assembles in the US and says they are US made. He ruined the Isham Echelon design by not breaking a single edge. The knife was a piece of junk that was one big hot spot .Isham will not work with him anymore. Also, his customer service is a joke. I agree with your sentiments of supporting righteous makers

BoxBladeSo easy to go with the flow and follow the money wherever it leads. As opposed to toughing it out here at home and feeling like your business is completely at the mercy of the Chinese... Either you be an innovative fast-moving little enterprise with a flawless business plan or you’d better like your craft enough to never quit, whether your ideas thrive in the marketplace or not.

BoxBladeYou know, I thought that WE went theough Isham’s portfolio and chose Eschaton to make... Where does Jason Brous come in in that process? (I just had to have an Eschaton but didn’t like the blade in person. Here it sits in a box waiting to be unloaded into the secondary market...)

AxeguyBrous made two Isham designs. The first was the Raven (similar to Eschaton) and not bad. The second was the Echelon (not Eschaton) and was just junk. Brous never totally paid Isham for the designs and made changes in the Echelon Isham didn't approve. Isham was really pissed by the quality of the build. I don't have anything against Chinese knives, just be honest about it. I had a friend with a Brous Caliber that was messed up and it was torture to get it fixed. Even after fixed the COA didn't match the number on the knife and a wrong size torx was used. I am an Isham fan and the only Brous I still own is the Raven. I had an Echelon but sold it within a week due to poor quality. I have the WE built Eschaton and Zeta by Isham. Very well built. The Eschaton is an art knife as you know. I won't use the Zeta either because of the price and limited edition status. You'll do good with the Eschaton on the secondary market due to them being sold out and being a limited edition.
