should have looked at the reviews on this before i purchased. The sandals have great quality, but the sizing is terrible. I bought a medium pair as i typically wear size 9 shoes but the sandals clearly do not fit. The sizing clearly stated up to 9.5 in mens but i would say max 8. Should have gone with the next size up.
RoguePotatoesProbably referring to the piece that wedges into your toes. That is certainly nylon. All of my rainbows have had leather on that upper part (and leather on the inside of it)
Rainbow makes very high quality sandals... that fit about one out of every two or three people. They don't make enough sizes to actually fit half their potential customer base. I can't believe some idiot thought sandals could be sized S-M-L-XL... Oh, sure, every other shoe and sandal company uses normal sizing, but I'm sure it'll be fine, what could go wrong? [/sarc]
I've actually tried these on at a store. Don't buy if you wear shoe size 11. I wear 11s and the L is too small and the XL is ridiculously large. Like clown-size large. In fact, just don't buy these unless you can try them on first, end of story. Unless you have a bandsaw and want to do some DIY mods, then go for it.
They are definitely right at first but after maybe a week or so they are hands down the best sandals I have ever owned. I have used the same pair for over 3 years now and joined the drop just to have a back up
I've been wearing them a bit, and it does appear like I'm getting a bit of stretch on the straps, which is allowing my foot to move forward a bit further.
I still massively disagree with their sizing guide, though.
tylerbrainerdAfter a month of occasional wear to break these in around the house, I'm going to have to say I was entirely wrong. While I've been used to choosing sandals with a bit more overhang, these actually have ended up fitting really well. YMMV
I am disappointed to find that I received my sandals with what appears to be water stains/blemishes in the leather. I think mass drop receives and sells what companies do not want to sell because of minor defects/blemishes. disappointed.
curveball77Is 1 pair of blemished sandals an indication of ZERO quality control? Or maybe that happens with natural products often.... Hrm something to think about... Like did they respond when you attempted to return them or did you not do your part in the Quality Control department HRM? I will postpone any premature assumptions until you've had a chance to reach enlightenment and respond back. Good day.
Once they break in they'll probably be your most comfortable footwear. When I buy a new pair, (I say when because I can't see myself ever not having a pair), I dunk them in water and wear them for an hour like that. Then I wedge water bottles
in them for like a week.
