OblotzkyCherry RGB Browns. It’s a ducky one 2 tkl if that helps. But yeah, it seems that both the cross mould on the reverse side of the switch isn’t deep enough for it to attach, and that it’s also a millimetre or so too wide, giving a really loose fit.
unbelievableOkay. A quick workaround that I personally use to have lose caps fit tight again is by placing a thin piece of plastic on the stem that then fills out the empty areas when you press down the keycap on it. It's not an ideal solution but the quickest one to get a positive result.
OblotzkyI understand that's a fix, but I'm a bit surprised the keycaps have got past any sort of QA process with these issues. Is it possible to get an exchange?
unbelievableThe problem is not that the RAMA caps have varying stems, but rather the different MX switch manufacturers have for their stems. It's impossible to create a rigid metal keycap that fits snug on all these different MX stems. Plastic keycaps are more forgiving due to their flexibility so they are generally created tighter as they can be stretched out on thicker stems. A metal keycap would not be able to do so. A replacement keycap would have identical measurements to the one you already have.
