Got the XL variant. Seat is flat and hard, and the back is concave which offers no lumbar support by default. Lumbar pillow is way too thick and narrow. You're better off using a small thin pillow for lumbar. A cheap $10 memory foam lumbar pillow is better. I intend to stuff both the seat with some soft concave foam and the back with some soft convex foam when I get the chance... just $2-$4 more foam and it could've been perfect. And why "racing" seats? Why not just car seats? Those are infinitely more comfortable than any office chair I've ever tried. There's also a support bar running straight across the bottom of the back that has zero flex or padding... this is a tailbone killer without the lumbar pillow to force you away from it. Frankly the Mass Drop Task Chair was more comfortable in all respects with the exception of the sides of the seat. The task chair would lean back almost flat with the seat without using the locking arm for the seat back angle. The seat bounces in a weird way as it rocks back. The lock for tilt sometimes sticks and won't release without getting off and releasing the rocking tension. About the only thing I really like is how big the casters are allowing for smoother rolling on carpet. Ultimately there are better chairs; by far. Even at this price point. I'll never get another "racing seat" chair again, and I wish MassDrop had a return policy. I may never shop here again unless they get one... feels like an "as-is" clearance dump now.
