No documentation, missing equipment. There is a display but no power supply for it. No documentation whatsoever. I don't understand why it's called a "kit", feels like an assortment of parts with no integration in mind.

I'd have gone 3.5, except apparently it's integer stars only.
The case is quite nice, but given that its build requires everything to be done in exactly the right way, a sheet with an exploded image or maybe a couple of progress pictures would have sure been nice. Would have saved an hour of "what about THIS way?" puzzling. My box didn't have any documentation other than the safety warnings sheet.
During the assembly, the head of one of the black screws snapped off, so now the Pi is only attached to the case at three points, until I get hands on a replacement offset and screw. I take apart mechanical watches and re-assemble them, so I'm pretty sure I wasn't asking more of the screw than I should have. The micro SD card is bad. I went through several different OS/player builds thinking there was a compatibility problem, but nope, the card just can't be flashed properly, so nothing ever loaded properly. When I grabbed on old micro sd card I had, everything went swimmingly, no matter which OS/player image I used. Hey MassDrop, toss me a new card, hey?
The power supply is junky, although that's true for most Pi kits. Causes a "low power" error message during boot. The sound of the DAC leaped in quality when I replaced it with an iFi low noise power supply, and the error message was then quickly followed by a "stabilized" message. The sound of the DAC got WAY better when I replaced it. The cord on the power supply in the kit is comically short.
Using it as the base for an Allo DAC picked up on MassDrop at the same time, and the combo works well together. This is good for what it is, which is the base for the DAC... and the DAC is a heck of a deal, sounds better than I'd expected by a lot.

EdinNJI was going through problems with power supply, so I had to buy a new one. Then there was another problem with the sd card, so again, I have to buy another sd card. I'm a starter in raspberry pi, and it was really upsetting for me to buy another better components from different websites because the kit didn't had the proper parts in the first place! This comment would save a lot of time for someone who's trying to wrap their heads around this kit.

Decent kit, good components for the money. I wish the SD card was faster r/w speed, but I can't really complain. Everything else is great.
