Half of me wants to hit the request button...but the other half of me knows too well that MD is just going to act like you're getting a discount when everywhere else has it $5-$10 less, on top of shipping... -_-
I just tried activating my raspberry pi for the first time, and I'm getting errors saying the power is under voltage. I'm unclear whether its the defection on the circuit board or the power supply. Regrets on buying this kit, do not purchase!
BUYERS BEWARE! The raspberry pi in this kit isn’t the newest 3b+ it’s the old 3b model, and more importantly the sd card included is a class 6. Raspberry pi requires a class 10 so that sd card is useless.
i don’t get why the raspberry pi kits on mass drop are always so scammy
prosetooprolixIs the price even right? Maybe it's because I have a 3d printer and can make my own cases. But this seems to be overpriced across the board.
I'm really iffy about this witht he wireless chipset being Broadcom can anyone confirm that the WiFi is functioning with anything running the latest LTS Linux kernel? I've had nothing but trouble with Broadcom and Linux.
The SainSmart touchscreen I ordered in November 2016 wouldn't let the cursor reach any of the edges/corners of the screen using the standard calibration tool in Raspbian. It didn't even move the cursor in the correct direction at first! By changing two of the four wires connecting the USB cable to the circuit board, I was able to get the cursor to move the same direction I moved my finger or stylus on the touchscreen, but the "scaling" problem (for lack of a better term) that kept me from accessing any menus via the touchscreen looked likely to take more time to solve (if even possible) than it would be worth compared to replacing with a part known to work with RPi out of the box.
Also, the external circuit board between the RPi and the screen is just a nuisance to me. Other touchscreens that function without one are better for my intended uses.
hey massdrop, how about reviewing your drops once in a while to make sure they're actually good deals?
because at this point, all this drop serves is to rip off uninformed consumers
Drose25That's where I get mine. It feels silly driving there just for that when I need more but try as I might, I can't find a better price.

How do I delete my massdrop account? I haven't seen a drop with a good price yet. I found tons more options, newer versions, larger SD cards included, better cases, more accessories included and all for a cheaper price by doing a quick amazon search. And Amazon isn't even always the cheapest option. This seems to be the case with most of the drops. I'm done.
