I have this and the problem is the length of the arms. In storage, they hit and rub against the insides of the lenses, scratching it and removing whatever protective coating there is, if any. Store your shades in its container with the lenses wrapped in the cleaning cloth or else you'll regret it.
UPDATE: The drop seems to show 2 different models here. The one I have is the one from the second picture (rubber pads on the inside face at the ends of the arms). I'm not sure if this drop is for the first or second picture.
Consider these for reglazing with prescription (RX) lenses including tinted and polarised. I have two Ray-Ban frames including one visually identical to this which has worked perfectly for the past two years with fitted polarized RX lenses. I recall adding a little glue to prevent the arms from sliding on their mounts.
The soft case is adequate and comes with a cloth and a plastic part which goes under the nose and helps protect the glasses until it falls out.
Note that the Ray-Ban brand has been part of the Luxottica Group since 1999. You might want to research their history, including that with the Oakley brand, before purchase.
It appears the model pictured in the side-profile image is different to the model pictured in the front-profile image. You can see pads on the arms in the front-profile image that do not appear in the side-profile picture. Also the hinges appear to be different.
I had a pair of these and the rubberised arms resulted in a sticky unusable mess after a few years.
Anyone know if this model is rubberised or normal plastic?
