Drop.com is PURE AND UTTER GARBAGE! This is the second watch I have bought from Drop and this one IS ALSO DEFECTIVE!!! I AM CONVINCED THEY GET DEFECTIVE OR FACTORY REFURBISHED WATCHES AND MERCHANDISE THAT THEY SELL TO THE PUBLIC AS BEING NEW. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DROP EVER AGAIN!!!!!! Now I have to go through their asinine return process where I can only send an email and no one will respond for weeks just to return the crap they are selling!!!! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome Timepiece
Its a very nice timepiece for the price I paid. It wears well and I really like the deployment buckle. The fit and finish are very well done.

Great timepiece
This is a well-made and very nice watch. The band leather is also great. Its buckle, however, is kind of a mess. That said, any decent watch place can swap out the buckle for like $10, so it's not a big deal. Def recommended!

Solid Watch, Excellent Price
I didn’t want to go over the top for a new timepiece and the price was right for this one. Clean look, nice band, and based on the discussion, this does have “Swiss Made” at the 6 o’clock position. A point of reference, Costco just started carrying RW watches and the newer model starts at $1000 with a carbon fiber-looking band. Steel band starts at $1200, so I think this was a steal. Per a pervious review, you do have to bend the band around the clasp which can result in some slight scratching, but it’s very minor and disappears within days. Start with a looser fit and the clasp will cover any potential scratching. Overall, great buy.

Got this watch delivered in the first week of December; I was only allowed to check that it worked and had no obvious flaws as it was a Christmas present to myself from my wife and I !! But after I checked it I could see the obvious quality for the money, not with-standing the sporty look of the whole package but the simple finish on all materials used was top drawer. Everything from the strap to the absolute finite finish on the dial was just fabulous. I will come back for a follow-up review when she lets me wear it!! Yes she often wears the pants in our house!! But seriously this watch does appear to be everything I would look for in the "Omega"speedmaster style of watch with case coloured bezel, kinda like Breitling, but just a tad cheaper.

Pre-own watch
Today I received this watch and I’m very displeased with the product that arrived from drop.com, this watch is was not brand new, it is very clearly pre-owned and whatever vendor drop.com used made a half ass attempt to hide that fact, the leather strap was bent, worn out, scratched, loose and dirty, the watch itself has two micro scratches at the bottom and dirt at the edge where the watch meets the leather straps. Not sure what happened but I have contacted drop.com customer service and requested a full refund.

Good watch for the price.
Just thought I would share some thoughts to the community about this watch. I’m curious if others had the same experience. I got this watch because it can pretty much be worn on any occasion, and for the price that drop sells it for it’s definitely a bargain. However, there’s a design flaw that’s small, but not something I would expect of a watch that would cost you 2000+ in a store (I know because when I took my watch to my local watch shop they had the same model just in brown for 2150 on sale) I don’t understand how Raymond Weil couldn’t catch it. Now this may not bother some people, but to me it was a a disappointing factor. when you first get the watch you need to set up the deployment clasp, for some reason the way Raymond Weil set up there watch, there is no way to place the leather band through the metal insert without scratching leather with the metal pin that goes Into the watch hole. Most companies get around the issue by placing an additional hinge that allows the pin to be manipulated to avoid this problem. I called Raymond Weil up, and they told me that you can do it, you just need “special equipment” I took the watch to my local shop ( which offered me the same watch in brown for 2150) and they said there is no special tool, and went ahead and attached it while making those scratchy indentations I so desperately wanted to avoid. Now for some this won’t be such a problem, and I’ll admit the indented leather and scratches are located on the bottom where most people wouldn’t see it. However for those of you who appreciate the build and design of things, you will find this very aggravating. As a side point: When I spoke to Raymond Weil on the phone there representative informed me that this watch kicks is not registered with any of their United States stores and therefore does not have there 2 year warranty. I personally would rather pay the drop price then pay full just to have the warranty. You could literally by 3 watches on drop for what they charge in stores here.

QualityforthemoneyI noticed that too, scratched the strap setting it up but I suppose I can live with that as the price is amazing. On the warranty, I registered the watch with Raymond Weil online & got a certificate for a 3rd year free warranty. Not sure if it would be honoured though.

QualityforthemoneyYes I had this similar problem, but having worked in watch stores I knew I had to be extra careful. I have seen instruments that can be used to size the deployment clasp, but personally don't own one. Once sized I haven't had to adjust it. There are many small issues with a lot of bands and straps; and don't always follow a logical vein. But that's what makes it interesting. I think this is a great watch for the price with an iconic automatic movement; and where I live I have seen an equivalent Freelancer for under $2200 usd!!
