Maybe the simplest way to open the knife is just to go ahead and do it one handed in two phases:

It's not as satisfying as a snap open but it's considerably more controlled for more folks and also maybe a little less likely to alarm the alarmable.
I have this in aluminum, and it is fucking awesome. My only complaint is that it is so damn slippery. I suspect the G-10 will completely ameliorate this. Big recommend.
I have one of these with the aluminium scales, the 2nd version. I really like it. It's a beautiful slender knife and an awesome flipper. I would have preferred g10 - aluminium just isn't as grippy, especially if there is any moisture around.
If you can't top flip your Metamorph (it's not broken in, the detent's a bit too strong, or the method from the link that RealSteel12 posted isn't doing it for you) this is how I flip mine. - https://youtu.be/yii8ZBLlI5c
reswrightThank you, I will check and follow your instructions. The knife has been going very nice otherwise but you are right that the detent not broken-in enough could be it.
reswrightThis is the way I've always opened mine, ditto for my feist. I think I tried top flipping it once, finding it didn't work, and then never tried again, lol
SylentKnightI have an orange g10, coated blade, and it's a fine knife. Long slender blade, super slim carry, and very easy to flip. It's also very light (duh), and feels like practically nothing when in use. I've only put it through light use (envelopes and small boxes), and the 14c28n has been more than up to the task.
